Describing a photo or a pictures

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GIVE AN ORAL DESCRIPTION OF A PICTURE?

In some oral exams you will have to talk about photos or pictures. If that is your case, you can get some tips and help from LearnEnglishTeens, a webpage by The British Council  where you wil find some examples of oral descriptions and videos with students describing photos.

You will find more information and some useful expressions on this wiki:

NOW YOU:

Practise oral descriptions. Choose a photo that you like or that has caught your attention and talk about it:
  • Describe it and tell what you see in it
  • Tell what it will happen or has happened
  • Explain why you like the photo or why not.
